Barrier Islands Little League is launching a multi-diamond complex capital campaign with a base goal of $350,000 and a challenge goal of $14,000,000. Barrier Islands Little League has experienced significant growth over the years, a testament to our dedication to providing a welcoming and high-quality environment for young athletes. Our expanding league not only reflects the passion of our community but also highlights the growing popularity of youth sports across the nation.
League Growth at a Glance
The growth of Barrier Islands Little League has been remarkable, with our Spring and Fall programs both experiencing substantial increases in participation. From 2016 to 2025, our Spring League has more than tripled in size, growing from 150 participants to over 600+ players. Meanwhile, our Fall League, launched in 2018, has also nearly tripled, expanding from its initial 100 players to 285 players by 2024. This impressive growth reflects our league’s commitment to providing more opportunities for players of all skill levels and meeting the increasing demand for youth baseball and softball throughout the year.

Little League is a cherished tradition across the nation. With nearly 2 million players and more than 6,500 leagues, it remains one of the most popular and accessible youth sports programs in the country. Approximately 2.4 million players participate worldwide, supported by over 1 million volunteers who help run local leagues each year. Founded in 1939, Little League Baseball® continues to grow, with more than 7,000 programs spanning the United States.
